CAN YOU SENSE GOD?

The following tweets are a continuation of thoughts inspired by my previous tweets in response to questions received from a self-proclaimed atheist: While, in summary, the definition of an atheist is one who does not believe in God or gods, I saw in this definition, psychologically, that many who claim to be atheists simply disagree with the expressed 'concept' of God. However, the scientific evidence of the existence of a Supreme Being can be proven in no limit of time. So, I would like to share that continuation of my thoughts on those who do not believe and/or agree with those who claim to believe in GOD. Let's look at the concept by definition of an agnostic: "a person who believes that nothing is known or can be known of the existence or nature of God or of anything beyond material phenomena; a person who claims neither faith nor disbelief in God" (Oxford). I believe we can also learn much from the view of those who identify as agnostic that could help us refine our concept, scientifically-speaking, about the existence of God, in every aspect of Creation. For this discussion, rather than using any of the religious names for God here, I'll instead use the term "Creator" or "Supreme Being" and "Originator" of it all. In my humble opinion, I find that the faculty of reasoning in children, is often more intelligent than the belief system expressed in many adult's concepts of 'God'. We may find that if we speak to a young child about God and the Kingdom of heaven above the clouds, many small children's faces will twist up and utter the repetition of your words, so as to imply how crazy they sound (smile). How do you explain to a child about the son of man coming down or going up to heaven in clouds of glory? Can you scientifically demonstrate between the 'cloud' of glory from a cumulus cloud, or one that distills rain back to the surface of the Earth? How would you 'scientifically' explain to a child that GOD is sitting on a throne somewhere in the clouds above the Earth? Is the throne made of wood that comes from the bark of trees? How do you explain to a child or any rational person, that heaven is a land of milk & honey? As I recall a child once asking me, if there are milk and honey in heaven, there must be cows and bees in heaven, all of which we find right here on the ground.

What kind of God Creates all that is in a material universe, while He Himself is not material? To believe in this concept —, of a Creator outside of Creation, and heaven as a location and not a condition— is to make God a 'MYSTERY'. I love that the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad states that the style of his teachings was such that a 6-year-old could understand it. This does not imply that what he taught was not deep or not of high science, but instead was evidence of the Root of all wisdom. He'd say "I likes to go to the ROOT of things". A declared 'agnostic' is arguing that if there is no evidence that can be identified anywhere in the known universe, then it cannot be argued to exist at all. In summary, in my respectful opinion, agnostic thinking makes the concept of God one that has to be proven scientifically, to be respected. My father, the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad states in his book "Message to the Blackman in America": "For thousands of years, the people who did not have the Knowledge of the person, or reality of God worshiped their own Ideas of God. He has been made like many things other than what He really is. The Christians refer to God as a "Mystery" and a "Spirit" and divide Him into thirds. "One part they call the Father, another part the Son, and the third part they call the Holy Ghost— which makes the three, one. This is contrary to both nature and mathematics. The law of mathematics will not allow us to put three into one." Our nature rebels against such a belief of God being a mystery and yet the Father of a son and a Holy Ghost without a wife or without being something In reality. We wonder how can the son be human, and the father a mystery (unknown), or a spirit?" -MTTBM (page 1, chapter 1)

Reviewing my father's words, this is applicable to the nature of every human being, regardless of your creed, your class, your color, or your age! Maybe a deeper question, without entertaining it at this time, would be "what happened in the time from our childhoods to now as grown adults, that we have lost the intellectual courage to discern truth from falsehood, and settle on a mystery?". My Mother, Tynnetta Muhammad once reprimanded me for taking lightly the expression of someone who was asking questions about the whereabouts of Master Fard Muhammad, the Founder of the Nation of Islam and Teacher of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad...My mother taught me to respect the different cultural views of people. As the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan has taught many of us, there is unity in DIVERSITY. When we unintelligently discriminate against diverse thinking or perceptions without full or comprehensive knowledge, we are operating out of a mental state of ignorance. There should be no wonder why the Bible states 'my people are dying for the lack of knowledge'. An antidotal concept that is rooted in scientific evidence that we all require, you will find in the teachings of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, who said "Islam is mathematics and mathematics is Islam, and it can be proven in no limit of time." Islam should not be thought of as being limited to a religious belief, but instead, a scientific way or practice of life that is ACQUIRED, when surrendering our will and way to the Will & Way of GOD that is found scientifically, in the nature of all existence. I cannot oppose the reality of the Sun, Moon, or Stars. So it is with TRUTH. How can we intellectually argue with EVIDENCE? Lastly, for the sake of time on this thread, this must be a "to be continued". I am not seeking to convert anyone to my way of thinking, but if it pleases ALLAH (GOD), with His Guidance, I am only trying to make us all reflect on the evidence of His presence in and around our lives to encourage our personal study and reflection on existence, and the signature of 'GOD',ALLAH, DIOS, the Creator, the necessary being as the Root and Source of it all! As a student in life, I hope that you will continue sharing your ideas, as we continue to inspire each other's reflections. Until the next time...😇
